Romania loves the LG Laundry Lounge! Following a string of successful projects in other Romanian cities, it was Cluj-Napoca's turn in May 2023.
The city, situated in the heart of Transylvania, is the country's second-largest and a well-known tourist destination due to its blend of historical landmarks, modern architecture, and appealing entertainment venues.
Now visitors, as well as local residents, have access to a modern, designer self-service laundry, allowing them to quickly and easily wash and dry their laundry in a pleasant environment.
Challenge: Making a major career transition
The owner, Mr. Radu Pîrjol, worked as a flight attendant for many years and frequently used self-service laundries during his travels worldwide.
He has visited over 90 countries and encountered various types of laundries, giving him first-hand knowledge of customer wants and needs.
After more than 10,000 flights, he decided to return to Romania and invest his savings in starting his own business.
He found out about the successful LG Laundry Lounge project in Bacau and was intrigued by the concept of a designer self-service laundry. Subsequently, he contacted our Romanian partner, Marcus from LG B2B LAUNDRY SRL, who is behind LG Laundry Lounge projects in the country and embarked on his entrepreneurial journey.

He soon found the perfect location for his business - in the Sigma shopping center, and preparations could begin.

"When I was presented with a 3D modelling of the space and the installation, I was delighted," says Mr. Pîrjol. "Being able to see in advance what my laundry will look like gave me extra confidence that I was on the right track. I couldn't wait to see the final result live!”
He was provided with detailed guidelines for the interior decoration of his laundry, and soon the unique, recognizable look of the LG Laundry Lounge was successfully achieved, combining attractive design with maximum functionality.
