Looking Ahead from Ugljan, the Olive Island: New Ideas and the People Who Bring Them to Life

Ivana Pita / 01.10.2026.

Three days at Lioqa Resort on Ugljan, an Adriatic island known for its olive groves, gave us something that can be hard to find in the middle of a busy working week: time to step back together, exchange ideas and think carefully about what we want to build in the years ahead.

Colleagues from across Bright World came together for a three-day strategy meeting. There were plenty of conversations about work, but also laughter, time spent together and moments by the sea. That balance made it easier to speak openly about our plans, the challenges we face and the opportunities we see for 2027.

Holding the meeting at Lioqa Resort meant something special to us. Lioqa has been a customer and partner for several years, and we were glad to spend time with people with whom we have built a relationship based on trust. For us, a customer relationship does not end when equipment is delivered. We want to understand how it serves the people who use it every day and continue to support them as their needs change. Our time on Ugljan was a reminder of why those relationships matter.

Planning for 2027 starts with a conversation

Colleagues from sales, logistics, service, marketing, R&D and leadership sat around the same table. Each brought a different perspective, making the discussions more grounded and productive. We looked back at our results, spoke candidly about what we could do better and set shared goals for 2027.

We want to keep growing in Croatia and other European markets without losing what matters most to our partners: people they can reach, dependable support and clear answers. That is why we focused on simplifying our internal processes and continuing to strengthen our service network.

A good plan should do more than look convincing in a presentation. It should make a difference in everyday work, from the first conversation with a customer to equipment installation and support years later. That was at the heart of our discussions on Ugljan.

LG Zeus and what comes next

We dedicated an important part of the meeting to the new LG Zeus industrial line. It opens opportunities for larger-scale laundry projects, particularly in hotels, industrial facilities and other businesses that process high volumes of textiles every day.

As a long-standing LG partner in Europe, our responsibility goes beyond introducing new equipment. We need to understand where it delivers real value, how it fits into a specific project and how to give our partners the knowledge and support they need to work with it.

On Ugljan, we discussed our approach to projects, public procurement requirements and the needs of customers in the hospitality and industrial sectors. Part of that preparation is already underway at BW Laundry Lab, our research centre, where we have delivered technical and sales training for distributors across the region. We want our partners to know the LG Zeus line well enough to give customers sound, specific advice, not simply walk them through a list of specifications.

The people behind every good solution

Strategy meetings matter because of the decisions we make. They also give us a chance to better understand one another’s work.

When colleagues from sales, service, logistics, marketing and training sit down together, it becomes easier to see what happens before and after each person’s part of a project. That is how dependable customer support takes shape: people share what they know, spot challenges early and work together to solve them.

On Ugljan, we had room for those conversations during workshops and in quieter moments throughout the trip. We want to build a culture where everyone feels comfortable sharing an idea, asking a question or seeking help. We call it One Team, but its value is most visible in how we work with one another every day.

Bringing a clear plan home

We returned from Ugljan with concrete plans for 2027, new ideas and a stronger understanding of what we can achieve together. Thank you to the team at Lioqa Resort for their warm hospitality and for a partnership that means a great deal to us.

There is plenty of work ahead, from developing new projects to continuing to prepare our teams and partners for LG Zeus. We look forward to it because we know who stands behind every step: people who know their work, trust one another and care about giving customers support they can count on.
